Nah setelah kita ketahui inti dari recount teks adalah masa lampau, jadi otomatis kata yang digunakan yang paling mendominasi adalah PAST TENSE. Selain mempunyai ciri menggunakan kata Past Tense, Ciri-ciri recount teks yang paling signifikan adalah ceritanya mengalir dan mempunyai alur yang baik. Maksudnya alur yang baik adalah ceritanya itu punya kronologis. Masih bingung? Coba ingat-ingat kalian pernah nonton acara tv kayak SERGAP dan BUSER kan? Nah pasti kalian pernah denger ada suatu kejadian kejahatan, contohnya Apriani menabrak 7 orang pejalan kaki di Tugu Tani. Nah polisi pasti pengen tau alur alias kronologinya. Kronologi yang dimaksud itu adalah suatu proses kejadian dari awal sampai akhir. Jadi alurnya berurutan dan nggak kebolak-balik.

Terus contoh recount teks kayak gimana sih? Contohnya tinggal kalian cari aja peristiwa masa lampau terus ceritain deh. Karena fungsi dan kegunakan dari Recount Teks ini sendiri adalah untuk menceritakan kembali ( RETELL ). My holiday

I’ve just got back from England. It’s the first time I have ever left Hong Kong without my parents. I was going on a student exchange tour to London. Fortunately, I met some new friends from all walks of life on the trip. Our group met for the first time at the airport. There were fifteen of us. We chatted for over ten hours on the flight to England. Once we arrived at Heathrow Airport, we then took a coach to one of the schools in Oxford.

On the first day we had lessons in the school campus until the coming of evening. We were all excited to know who would be our host. A rich or middle class family. My host mum was Candice. Her apartment was in an old historic building with beautiful gardens around it. She helped me to settle down and cooked a meal for me. Then my friends and I went to a disco in the town centre for the night’s entertainment.

The next day we went to London by underground for the whole day. We wanted to explore every corner of London’s streets. It was an amazing experience for us to discover the culture of the country. We shopped at Harrods after visiting Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum. The museum was packed with lots of people and it was too crowded to take pictures with the wax characters. We found that there was a fast food booth at St Paul’s Park selling hot dogs which tasted delicious and only cost two pounds. They were about 20cm long. I couldn’t finish the whole thing.

There was one really memorable incident during the trip. My Italian roomates found out that our host mum was a lesbian! I could not believe this shocking fact and I did not dare to ask Candice about this matter.

The trip was fantastic. I learnt about British culture and met people from different backgrounds. I am determined to go to England again and explore the southern part of England.
